The Perks Of Dreaming
Hair cascading, silk nighttime down her back
eyes peering through me and into no one
at another world just between the cracks
in mine, snow white hands soaking winter sun
pensively sketching new life in blue pen
heedlessly giving her song to the wind
is how I see her with my eyes open
Knocking on my door, whispering Let me in?
hair flowing through my hands like desert rain
eyes in mine like she's never looked before
hands urgent like she'll never feel again
disregarding the world outside our door
asleep in my arms as outside storms blow
is how I see - feel – her with my eyes closed
