Cups of Coffee
In a way, we’re all like cups of coffee
Tall, Grande, skinny in the outer sense
Some of us are steamed, some of us, icy
Then some of us are non-fat; others, dense
Some of us are full of sugar and cream
While some of us are plain, dark and bitter
Some of us have names like “Hazelnut Dream”
There are a few that should use a filter
With different shades on the inside, too
From deep black to a silky, creamy white
It’s hard to hide what lies within; the truth
Because we all come from the same pot, right?
We are more than just cups of great coffee;
We are caffeinated diversity
