A summer warm,cool, and muggy afternoon/
Children, teens, and adults playing in the street/
A five month old finds old meat in his spoon/
It was betty the dogs old chewed Ims dog meat//
All of them come inside for a short break/
Teens trying to remember the basketball score/
Kids getting there sugar from today's cake/
The score was twenty-one to the losing score of four//
The players go back on the small court/
Children go back in the large chemical pool/
The gam is almost over so be a good sport/
The children go inside to stay in rooms cool//
Its almost four time for a sort nap/
After the day is done the 4th of July will be a rap//
