Look to the past as it urges you on
When it is not your friend, you must then go
Pressure to become, pressure to stay strong
Expectations from the impatient grow
You must make up your mind, hurry up quick
Which direction will you take on the road
What will be the carrot on the end of your stick
Who will push you on, you lighten their load
The future is closer, your mind is clear
The journey ends as your life is now real
The poem is complete, you soon realize fear
What you are is not what you meant to feel
The truth becomes clear, 'twas never your choice
A future picked by others, where's your voice
