A Latant Love
A Latent Love
Oh, what in life can compare to Ms. Boyd?
Books to take me in, to take me away.
Oblivious, my thoughts, trapped in the void,
For when they leave, life fades to shades of grey.
To climb the heights, the world arrayed below,
Brings wondrous peace and exhilaration.
The feel of straining muscles as I go
Heightens the feel of such elevation.
Oh, food, thou art a wondrous diversion,
So frequently dismissed as commonplace,
Yet bringing such passionate immersions.
Because of thee, I tend to stuff my face.
Yet of all these I have in life enjoyed,
None can compare with thee, sweet Donna Boyd.
