Proposal
How happened you, upon this hill?
At this hour where life is still?
Could it be to see the sun?
And make sure that life has begun?
I wonder if it could be?
Could you, my friend, be following me?
To share the splendor that is here?
Or is it for yourself, my dear?
I have been holding back some things.
I wish my tongue would give me wings.
But I think it is not now
That I should give my humble vow.
So I wait for you at opposite light
To reassure my wondrous fright.
And join together with me
In God's Holy Matrimony.
