First Crush
Walking handsome and strong
Thick red tomatoes rest on top,
Lanky, tall, and long,
Fair white skin and scattered freckles go pop! Pop! Pop!
Walks so sturdy and plays so great,
Gives me a ride home and provides me with a snack,
Stale goldfish on the floor that nobody ate,
Eight years old and looking like he would probably have a six-pack!
I sit high in my seat,
A booster is where I’m strapped,
Almost as tall as him, but not nearly as big of feet,
He thinks I’m a pest, and his eyes say he’s trapped.
Our love is gone; it has come to an end,
“I love you,” and now he is the brother of my friend.
