Favorite Quote:
Look, I didn't want to be a halfblood."

I know I was enchanted to meet you,

I want to stay in this Lavender Haze,

I know you locked me out, a feast you threw,

Upon my skin, I can feel the hot blaze.

I know I love your tanned skin and sweet smile,

I won't ever break you if you don't grow,

I know you call what you want but I dial,

You bring me down with just a single blow.

I know that my echoing thought always warns,

But it's like we're dreaming without sleep,

I know you're a rose garden with thorns,

But you feel like home when I need to weep,

Oh, how I know that loving you is red,

But I know our love is blue and I dread.

The sonnet is called Taylor's Version because it’s made by taking inspiration from multiple Taylor Swift lyrics. Taylor Swift titles a lot of her songs “Taylor’s Version” so I took inspiration from that. It’s about a flawed love. The first line of each quatrain starts with, “I know,”   because there is something known about love. The second says something positive about the love that is being shared. The third line of the quatrain also begins with “I know,” but this time, it isn’t positive. It is something bad that is known about the opposing lover. The fourth line also says something bad/upsetting. The last two lines both start with “I know,” because it’s about something good and then bad. It’s also summarizing the whole poem.
