Good Boy!

A white and a furry creature
Running along the side of the road
Making sure that it could cure
The sorrow on the face of the old.
As the years start to go by
The energy starts to dissipate
The creature begins to lie
On the ground where it once ate.
Nine years have already passed
His energy and beauty starting to lack
Us not knowing how long he will last
While we continue to pet his back.
May he be young or old, he always brings us joy
And no matter how old, he will always be a good boy.

You have creatively penned inner emotions, fear and care for your furry companion who loved you unconditionally. It is a hidden fear of losing some loved one, and you have brought those emotions out exceptionally well. Great Poem!!! Looking forward to more from you.
My dog is now into its old phase of life and now is losing his energy. I really love him and hope him for the best.
