Dear My Beloved

Dear my Beloved, if only you knew,
How silence and ignorance harms the heart,
I only want amity to anew,
And for negative feelings to depart.
All I ask for is simply your response,
And some interest in a connection,
For unrequited love is nonchalance;
A whole lifetime with little affection.
Dear Beloved, if only you could see
How much this heart enamors all of you,
Captured by your eyes, deep blue like the sea,
Your beauty lies inside and makes you true
For now, my feelings shall be stored away,
But my life will not remain in the grey.

This sonnet follows Shakespear's format and the main theme of this piece is unrequited love. It is my letter to the one who never returned any feelings, let alone attention. There were some rough patches which prevented any form of friendship, and it did not matter how much I tried, I was never able to tell them of my feelings. It is a letter which shall and will never be sent. The turnaround though at the end, is that life move on. To leave all of the troubles behind and trudge on.
