My Sly Fox
My sly fox, you inspire me to write.
Oh, how I hate the way you deceived me,
Invading my mind through the day and night,
I always dreamed about what we could be.
Shall I compare you to a hot ember?
You were so clever and always so smart.
I still remember how you left me there,
Bleeding and dying from my broken heart.
How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your personality and style.
I hate your cunning and deceitful gaze
My hate for you is longer than the nile.
Now I must away with a noxious heart,
Remember these fierce words whilst we're apart.

The backstory behind this poem is that I was watching an anime and one of the main characters broke the other main character’s heart. Next thing I knew the words just started to flow and it came together. Inspiration comes from strange places.
