You are the one that got away
The one who caused all my doubt and dismay
The best worst thing in all of my life
I hoped for one day for you to be my wife.
You are the greatest, you are best
I know you are better than all of the rest
You believe you are perfect; you believe you are wise
I thought that for so long; almost all of my life
But now I know better, so I wish you well
When I listened to you I believed I was in hell
I’d rather die than be with you a second time
That life I was living was all just a lie
The feeling I had when I was with you
Mesmerized by your beauty; it had all been untrue
You are the greatest, you are best
I know you are better than all of the rest
You believe you are perfect; you believe you are wise

Remember this, when you realize this, you can change this, and make your life; and maybe even theirs better.
