All I"ll Ever Be
Chaos to your thoughts is all I will ever be.
Am I really there when you're with me?
Or is my mind always lost in the stars,
simultaneously watching the passing cars.
I cannot help but keep thinking.
The problem, my thoughts, never linking.
Utterly confused you seem,
I, myself, barely know what I mean.
I try to connect the dots,
like a movie plot.
But here I sit,
with an internal fire lit.
How are you supposed to understand me?
Especially when the answers to my thoughts seem lost at sea.
You can try to make the pieces fit in the puzzle,
but I suggest not, it will leave you in trouble.
Take it from me; I have tried many of times before,
and anyone else who has, walked right out that door.
Each time you think of me it will just leave your head spinning and your stomach in knots.
Trust me; I'm just chaos to your thoughts.

This piece was inspired by my inability to explain my thoughts sometimes to others. Everything makes more sense in a poem, right?
