Soon To Be
Seeing you wed the one you love makes me glow inside
Fills me up with happiness, warms my heart with pride
For I know your husband must thank his lucky stars
That fortue he won when he stole your heart
He'll share in your adventures as I have done the same
Find comfort, strength, companionship each time he speaks your name
You'll brighten up his everyday
Bring sparkle to his life
You are a truely, lovely sister
A diamond of a wife
The dreams, the love, the laughter, the fun we've had together
A confetti of sweet memories to cherish on forever
Whether we are close, or far apart on me you can depend
You are my rock that I've always leaned on
And not only my sister, you are my best friend

I wrote this for my sister on her wedding day because through all the hard times we've gone through, she is the only one who remained a part of me. Once she finds the right guy who will make her happier than I've ever seen, I will give this poem to her and read it at her wedding.
