Someway I'll change the day.
See me off to the night.
I'll pour the rest of my life into what I write
so you may hold on to what slipped by.
Somewhere out there I can hear you cry
but, now is not the time.
I need you to carry on
for those I've left behind.
My fading heart was only but a sign
that memories with me shall pass away like time.
But on my final hour,
I want to bloom like moon flowers.
Some say that you took it the hardest
But I digress, now for my grave
I want flowers like a mother needs comfort.
I see the expression on your face.
I'm worth more this way.
Some care more for
feelings that were never really there
And my fading heart was only but a sign
that memories with me shall pass away like time.
But on my final hour,
I want to bloom like moon flowers
Some how I see the irony
A ghost who was honored in memory
But a life that was not worthy of praise.
Lately I've been thinking
Maybe I will escape
Baby, love is just a shade
And my heart fading was only but a sign
that memories with me shall pass away like time.
But on my final hour,
I want to bloom like moon flowers.
