Azure Sky (Mother Dear)
Mother dear don’t cry for me today
If I could I would have loved another way
But time will tell a story different than what you want to hear
Oh mother dear
I’ve made some bad decisions
But I shouldn’t die for them
Left some deep incisions
On the skin of men
Oh I was wrong
I still get that feeling
The one where my life has lost all meaning
Oh mother don’t cry
My life has simply passed me by
You’re a stupid, stupid worthless girl
That’s what I’ve been told by the world
Oh azure sky up in the clouds
Please tell me my voice is still screaming loud
Oh azure sky
Mother, mother dear I’ve had a good life
Even though my deeds have been carved out of my tree by a pocket knife
Sins, they reach into my soul
But mother dear I’ve never been whole
Mother call out to the azure sky
And pray the heavens still take my dying cry
If this is how it will be than I’ll rest
Mother dear with you I have been blessed
Oh mother dear
Call out to the azure sky
Oh mother dear
