I could use a little help

I need a little comfort
Even if you're fake
It's not like anyone on earth
Cares about me anyway

I know it's been a long time
Since I've believed

Every time I breathe
I can feel my heart ache
I'm overwhelmed by this sadness
And it just won't go away

My world is getting darker
It's been like this a while
It's getting harder to find color
And reasons to smile

Hey god are you there
Are you listening? It's me
Please don't make me wake
After tonight's sleep

All of my prayers
Are just quiet calls for help
But no one seems to notice
And I've just got to let it out

The blades no longer help
Me to feel alive
I don't feel anything at all
So why do I still cry

Hey god if you're real
I guess I'll see you soon
There's only a thin barrier
Between me and you

Hey god are you there
There's one thing I must ask
Can I still get into heaven
With a rope around my neck
Please let me into heaven
That's my last request

This was inspired by my very close friend who was suicidal and her story
This represents the fear and sense of hopelessness and desperation that comes with depression

I can relate very strongly to this piece. Up until recently I felt this way in everyday life. I know its very hard to go through and even harder to see someone your friends with go through, but all you can do is be there. But in the writing process it was very well written, although maybe spell out the entire words. But very deep, I like it.

This is a beautiful song. Very emotional and I love the quiet cry for help, because God is here for us, He sends us His angels to bear us up in times of trial. Psalms 91:11-12, don't let your friend give up hope.
