There was this kid named Martin
He died at age 8
May 15th, 2013 was the date
He wathing his dad run
In the Boston Marathon
And at the finish line
He was killed by a Bomb
He was only in 3rd grade
His family's grief is displayed
With his mom in the hospital
And his sister lost her leg
But Martin wasn't as lucky
Yeah mow Martin is gone
And Martin gave me the
Inspiration to write this song
No one should ever die young
Especially by violence
With his song barely sung
He was put to silence
He barely got to live his life
He will never fall in love
He will never have a wife
Martin was sent above
But Martin you are beautiful
Watch over your family as an angel

How many children need to die for this to cease
How many children need to die before we reach peace
We need to make the world a better place
And with innocent kids dying all it has become is a disgrace
But one day, one day that will change

Noah, Jack, Grace, James, and Emilie
Chase, Avielle, Dylan, Ana, and Jesse
Benjamin, Catherine, and Olivia
Allison, Charlotte, and Jessica
Daniel and Caroline
Josephine and Madeleine
All of them killed
Not one older than 7
Innocent blood spilled
Now all of them are up in heaven
It was 2012 on the 14th of December
A tragic day that will always be remembered
All the laughter of the kids began muting
When he came in the their school and began shooting
20 kids lives taken
Killed for no reason
Just before Christmas
The giving season
How can anyone even think to perform such an act
like this just to get the country to react
God it's depressing
Please give every single child your blessing
Because all the parents are expressing
Their emotion over the loss of their child
And mentally it's messing with their head
Knowing in that room is their child's empty bed
They will feel this loss every day
And there's nothing anyone can ever say
To make that feeling completely go away

How many children need to for this to cease
How many children need to die before we reach peace
We need to make the world a better place
And with innocent kids dying all it has become is a disgrace
But one day, one day that will change

I've had this in my notebook for awhile and I thought I'd share it ,but this is for the families who've lost their loved ones in the tragedies of the Boston Marathon and the Sandy Hook shooting.
