You are my sunshine,
the brightness that shines the dark away
My only sunshine,
the one who keeps the monsters at bay

You make me happy,
the cause of the smile that rarely fades
When skies are gray,
I look to you for a break from the society of degrade

You’ll never know dear,
how big and strong those monsters really are
How much I love you,
for holding me and getting me this far

But now the monsters are breaking free,
and my walls are crumbling down
Now my smile rarely shows,
because you’re not around

You’ll never know dear,
how much I loved you
how much I wanted you to stay
But now I can’t find you through the darkness,

because the monsters have taken my only sunshine away.

This has nothing to do with me, I'm just better at writing depressing things than happy things.

Amazing story. My grandfather used to sing this to me as a kid so I love to see a new prespective of this in a dark and mysterious way. Love it!
