Just A Dream
Though I often wonder if you were just a dream
I remember how you looked at me and how you beamed
So happy or so it seemed
I still remember how you said you loved me
How could I forget
And sometimes when you seem so very far
It’s nice to know we sleep ‘neath the same night stars
Chorus
You can’t be just a dream
Not another reverie
You can’t be something that has been
Because the way you said you loved me
Is forever burned into my memory
Someday I hope you will come for me
Take me away and set my heart free
Be patient, love, and soon you’ll see
I am waiting for you eternally
I believe love can always endure
As long as you know who you love for sure
So take my hand and never let go
When you come for me so I can know
Often I’m impatient or pert
But it’s only cause of how much it hurts
The only thing I live for is the hope
Saying someday is the only way I cope
You were my dream come true
Till I was forced away from you
Please don’t fade away
You’re the reason I live from day to day
I still feel your lips upon my own
Still see the way your face shone
So beautiful though you didn’t see
And when I told you- you didn’t believe me
You can’t be just a dream
Not another reverie
Not all is as it seems
Don’t become a memory
I don’t know how much longer I’ll last
So please come for me at last
I’m holding on with all I’ve got
But SOS I’m down to my last drop
Cause I can’t help but wonder if it’s all of the past
Prove that you are real
Something I can touch and feel
Come back to me
And set me free
Please won’t you come for me
You reverie
You memory
You’ll never come for me
You’re only just a dream
Just a beautiful reverie
