Ember
Here I lie
Awake and dead,
For as I linger
In dormant dread
I search for light
That was once there
But disappeared
Within my hair
Has it returned?
Seems I’m too far
To reach for the
eternal star
That, washed up on the rocky tide,
Seems to ’ve fizzled out and died…
Save for an ember, glowing bright,
As He provides eternal light.

Oh, and let me explain the part about my hair. I suppose, to me, it was a symbol of some sort: a symbol of who I used to be. I cut off my long, curly, thick hair for short, straight hair right before my family moved and "started over". Just to clear up confusion. Haha, it seems like I just randomly started talking about my hair in there.
