When I Lost You
Overwhelmed, shocked, confused,
That's how I felt when I lost you.
Sad, angry, and denied,
I wish I had more time.
Young, smart, and strong
And proud to be my mom.
You stood with a smile on your face, ignoring the pain, with such grace.
I wish I had that now, the grace that you once had.
Cause I am so tired of being sad.
There will come a time for our paths to meet again.
Til then I love you companion, mom, and friend.
