In Distress - The Butterfly Effect
Droplets of rain
Slide down my roof
Looking through the window
To where I might find some proof
I contained my heart inside a vial
And you found it in the gutter in just a little while
It's placed my mind in an ocean of distress
Is this the butterfly effect?
I'm looking through the reflection
As it's staring back at me
In the rain puddle, in the mirror
In the dashboard sunlight
Quick to relapse in my memories
On this lonesome night
So I kissed you in my mind
In another place, another frame
Guise of another name, another time
I reached out to you across the sky
Just to hold your hands and watch you smile
My apparition kiss you away like a thousand miles
And you don't have to question you why
I may be gone or am I here does it place you in distress?
What you see is what you get my angel
The butterfly effect
I'm looking through the reflection
As it's staring back at me
In the rain puddle, in the mirror
In the dashboard sunlight
Quick to relapse in my memories
On this lonesome night
