The author's comments:
This is a song about closure and acceptance. It took me a very long time to let this person go, but I finally got to the point in my life where I was finally ready to accept that the life ahead of me might not be the one I had planned.

After I saw your work on the forum, I had to come check out your other work because I loveeeeee your style. (: I really really really like this poem because it's just abstract enough that it's beautiful but concrete enough that you don't get lost trying to figure it out. I love the first and last stanzas the most, probably. The first one is a really good introduction because it really hooks you and you can get a picture in your head. And the last stanza is really cool because you pull parts of the whole piece in and tie it together. I think that really works with your closure/acceptance thing too. It's a little confusing about wanting them to forget you exist but also keep you in their memories, but I think that says something about the narrator. Anyways, I love this! (:
