That Something is me
You cannot see
the depths of my soul
You cannot see the water
That crashes out of control
You cannot hear the waves
As they break upon my heart
You cannot judge the faces
The sand you saw at start
You cannot note the changes
You cannot feel my pain
You see and now you doubt me
As I stand in acid rain
It's dripping in my eyes know
It's opening a sore
It's killing me so softly
Compared to the oceans roar
My tears no longer salty
My eyes, I've cried them dry
To manage, ponder, wander
To yours, to ours, to mine
No one beyond that horizon
To fight the dark in between
No one to hold my hand now
Because reality isn't a dream
Because you stand and doubt me
Because of a time thats lost in the sea
Because there's something dead now
Because that something is me...
