Gunslinger/Desperado
Gunslinger, roams the countryside, the lonely man, searching far and wide
Heartbreaker, never here to find a place in life, soul bursts from chaos, always full of strife
Mistaker, the one who gained everything to lose it all, found himself on top, only then to fall
High staker, risk maker, you had your place in the sun, now there is nothing left, you are only one
The way you walk so proud, and seldom speak so loud, hold your head up high, declare your sense of pride
These words mean nothing to a man of action, defend your people, oh forgotten hero
You were the idol for them, the voice for the speechless, the eyes for the blind, and the love of their lives
And when you rode away into the sunset, you left them waiting, for a peace that never came to be
Desperado of the night, won't you hear our pitiful plight? Hear the children's raven cries?
Won't you cease your senseless fight? Save the people with your might?
You ran ablaze the frightened streets, burning bridges with whomever you meet
You scared the hardened into the meek, the powerful into the weak
Torched the houses, robbed the banks, Raped the louses, raised the stakes
Ended your legacy of light, and began your myth of darkness
Shot the sherriff and the deputy you did, made sure that no innocents lived
Blood washed into the river for the illusion of crime, ran with the bandits, lost in time
Until the day you met your match, in the little old town of Azerax
The land you once called home you now call your final resting place
You will be buried with roses, black and white, some people will hiss, and some shall cry
Oh desperado the bullet was not what pierced our ears, but twas your final groan that streaked the skies
Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
Come down from your fences, open the gate
It may be raining, but there's a rainbow above you
You'd better let somebody love you
You better let soembody love you
Before it's too........late.........
