I’m sitting here black and blue
Thinking of those times with you
Remembering those stupid fights
On all of those summer nights
And as I pace my room,
Crying, screaming, feelin blue
But really, im rememberin the truth
But then I re-alize-

When we first kissed it blew my mind,
I looked in your eyes
It was a secret I was blind
Even though I felt alive
You were the first one I loved
You said I was a gift from above
You caused my endless bliss
And that is what I miss.

Sitting there, I watch clouds pass by.
July fifth is written in the sky
You disappointed me After all I’d done
I didn’t think I was the one youd shun
My friends said you weren’t the one for me
And I said no and that you could be
You proved them right
You proved me wrong
Sitting here remembering the truth,

When we first kissed it blew my mind,
I looked in your eyes
It was a secret I was blind
Even though I felt alive
You were the first one I loved
You said I was a gift from above
You caused my endless bliss
And that is what I miss.

I sit here waiting for your call, but then I hear you don’t love me at all.
I turn around and cry some more, and question, are you really the one I should be looking for?

When we first kissed it blew my mind,
I looked in your eyes
It was a secret I was blind
Even though I felt alive
You were the first one I loved
You said I was a gift from above
You caused my endless bliss
And that is what I miss.

I’m sitting here, black and blue.
Remembering of those times with you.
