Paradoxical Day
The sun came out to say hello at noon,
And I had seen enough of the new moon.
The tension was close enough to touch
cause cruising in slow motion's such a rush.
On a paradoxical day,
this unwelcome's overstayed.
Oxygen gets in the way
on a paradoxical day.
Sitting in the shade of a leafless tree.
Turned up missing searching for the peace.
And I got so far as the initial destination
before I learned to start finishing up.
On a paradoxical day,
this unwelcome's overstayed.
Oxygen gets in the way
on a paradoxical day.
And the moon lights up my life,
and the darkness isn't night,
and the last thing I had left to wonder isn't even mine
on a paradoxical day.
