Broken Guitar Strings
How much worth do you give
your broken guitar
your hands in the dark
your lungs full of tar
how long will you wait
to become what you are
well you told him you were lonely
and you hinted you were sharp
now your blade is twisting through him
but he hasn’t got a heart
You keep running around
trying to make something right
and he’s standing so still
moving through time
how long will he try
to forget the first line
close your eyes go back to sleep
that’s not the music its just falling feet
go lay down go rest your head
there is no music there’s just the vent
how long will you try
to come from where you went
