I know it’s wrong but I just can’t help myself
I’ll just throw my morals up on the shelf
Far away so that no one can see
I’m not the same girl I used to be.

All it takes is a smile and a charming line
Shut up, conscience, this will all be fine
What he doesn’t see he doesn’t have to know
He can’t hurt if he doesn’t feel the blow.

So here I sit with so much to hide
All I wanted was to be gratified
Can I try to pass off the blame?
Don’t ask, ‘cuz I won’t tell you his name.

I did not foresee the feelings it would incite
Now guilt is companion for me tonight
The regret and pleasure boiling from within
I make the same mistake time and time again.
