Acid Rainbows
There's a bad smell in the air
I wonder what could be there
As I watch pansies shrivel before my eyes
Looking to the sky
I see a beautiful sight
vivid colors brighten the air
There's an acid rainbow above my head
bright with the colors of the dead
A pot of melted gold's at the end
fighting to be whole again
walking through this semi-apocalypse
I wonder would the real one be worse than this?
My umbrella can't hold-out any longer
Its become a puddle in my hands
Looking at my house,
A gingerbread house
Someone has been sneaking bites
because. . .
There's an acid rainbow above my head
bright with the colors of the dead
A pot of melted gold's at the end
fighting to be whole again (repeat)
But I know the sun will dry it all up
take the rainbow away
leaving us with a melted mess
until another day
with another. . .
acid rainbow above my head
bright with the colors of the dead
A pot of melted gold's at the end
fighting to be whole again
