"Writing, I think, is not apart from living. Writing is a kind of double living. The writer experiences everything twice. Once in reality and once in the mirror which waits always before or behind."

In the dark it's like a black and white TV
There's no difference between truth and honesty
Colors are undiscernable, tones are similiar
So don't raise your voice it won't sound familiar

I'll admit the artifical light just aint the same
As the sound of our voice and that day in the rain
This lampshade is dirty so I'll dust if off
This light bulb is fading so I'll turn it off

CHORUS
So I'm kinda torn between day and night
Searching of meaning in endless twilight
Waiting for the sun to rise or set
Push me one way break me I'm bent

And I miss the fire that guided my night
The living the loving the anger the firght
The warmth that you cast that match that you struck
My city is burning and here I am stuck

F*** you left so many burns on my skin
So many holes to let disease in
The marks you made in the dark just won't fade
Talking in whispers is now way too strained

CHORUS

I wish the sun could rise over this dead lonely city
I wish you understood how destruction is pretty
There's unfound beauty in the darkness
Turns out that beauty is cathartic

CHORUS

When it comes to you my world is in shadows
Trying to proove that you aren't so shallow
Do you think you could try to explain you to me?
Because this entire engima haunts me silently

You keep my happiness so intangible
This is a dark pit get me outa this (w)hole
This is an endless tunell I can't see the light
But I know you're somewhere inside this midnight

CHORUS
And is this what you meant
When you said you would never love again
