Men
You tell me a man shouldn’t blush
Even if I get a headrush
And neither should I care
About things that I can’t bear
That grey suit-n-tie is too ugly
For my boundless mind
I dress in pink to look girly
And breathe in the beauty of mankind
Wings on me to grow so tall
My face craves the dazzle of earrings
But I may not get it all
So let me invalidate my ramblings
When there’s glitter over my eyes
That look turns me blind
To all of my icy lies
And peace is what I find
I want to paint my nails
And sink in my hair
I’ll watch as the scent prevails
And escape that which I can’t bear
Why should I care
If your judgment’s too much to bear
I know I’m here to stay
So let me piss you off my way
This is a celebration of the beauty in male androgyny that has stayed suppressed for too long.
