Think About Rebellion
Went into the new decade, feeling larger than life.
Screaming, “This is going to be my year!”
And now we’re rolling the dice.
Thinking, “How did it all go wrong? And how could we have known, a battlefield of ideals would be the place we call home?”
One day, everything was normal, until our ‘normal’ changed.
Went from Friday night parties and early school-day mornings to wondering, “What’s today’s date?”
Gone were the days of sitting in classrooms and hanging out with friends.
Instead, in their place was a computer screen and a zoom call, waiting for the lecture to end.
People march through the streets.
Fist in the air
Screaming, screaming, “I CAN’T BREATHE!”
Wildfires rage in the west, firemen are doing their best, tight feeling in their chests.
The “leader of our country”?
What a joke. He disregards science saying, “COVID is a hoax”
300,000 people dead, “COVID is a hoax”? Yea, that’s what he said.

Hi! I'm Dior, and I am a BIPOC from Salt Lake City, Utah. Over the last year, there have been many social issues being brought to light, and I wrote this short song to briefly go over a few of them. I hope you like it!
