Verse 1:
Summer days seem so far away
There’s dark clouds in the sky
Blue skies have turned to grey
As time has passed by
I wish it all could’ve stayed
I wish memories never died
But as time went on things changed
And I’m left to wonder why
Chorus: Summer days don’t stay
Verse 2: Summer days when you picked me flowers
And we skipped stones into the sea
Just to pass our lazy hours
As happy as can be
I wish it hadn’t gone so fast
But now I can see
That summer is in the past
