hollow monsters
When the door is shut
And I’m all alone
That’s when the monsters come out to play
They’re beautiful and I disgust them
Or so their lies betray
They plant the seeds which further stem
Into a downing selfish angst
A siren-song tree
Of choking cruel constraints
You’ve no idea
How easy
Pretending is
When everything is meaningless
And you don’t care anymore
Cause you’re so hollow
Your feelings are torn
And you’re so hollow
Hate is born
And you’re so hollow
The monsters mislead
And so you follow
The vicious sting of unforgotten memories
Cuts through my brain
Like a suicidal slash-across the arm,
Right through the vein,
And the laughter I hear,
Is so cruel and insincere,
You, don’t, matter
The image, shatters
You’re the mad, mad hatter
Put your heart on a platter
And burn your feelings away
You’ve no idea
How easy
Pretending is
When everything is meaningless
And you don’t care anymore
Cause you’re so hollow
Your feelings are torn
And you’re so hollow
Hate is born
And you’re so hollow
The monsters mislead
And so you follow
