rain came falling down
rain fell on the window sill
tears fell down my cheeks
he told me he'd be coming home
it would only take two weeks
He left for New York
And never returned
whiled I watched the news
my stomach churned
All because of what
I just learned
the Twin Towers
came on falling down
when my father
was in that town
rain fell on the widow sill
tears fell down my cheeks
Now I know the next time I see him will be much more than two weeks
