The Writer Within Me

The writer inside my mind
Has no ideas I can find.
He sits and he'll wait
(Which I really hate).
And now I am farther behind.
There’s a writer inside of me,
But he mustn’t be able to see.
There's work to be done,
Life can't be all fun,
So why does he do this to me?
The writer works for a smile,
Or to make one laugh a while.
He tends to add jokes,
For comical folks.
I like his funny writing style.
The writer really likes to play,
In a very unique kind of way:
His stories come strong,
But they don't seem to last long.
Someday I will make him pay...
