My Only Wish
Don’t let me die young.
Don’t let me die afraid.
Don’t let me die embarrassed.
Don’t let me die ashamed.
Let me live without regret,
and let me live in peace.
Let me live up to my potential,
and forever let my progress increase.
I don’t know why I am telling you this,
or the reason for my rhyme.
Considering that who I am talking to,
is me, myself and I.
Maybe it’s because I don’t want to forget,
the goals that I have.
Maybe it’s because I don’t want to change,
the person that I am.
So when this is read in the future,
please remember my only wish.
It is my desire, hope and dream,
a never-ending and burning itch.
It is the whole point in our life,
to ensure that it is not shabby.
Whatever you do,
just please remember:
Don’t let me die unhappy.
