Too late Now
For years I've sat around,
Just waiting to be noticed,
But even when I hit the ground,
Somehow you didn't see
Now you're weak,
You're hearts been broken,
And now you finally seek,
Someone like me.
For a second I was thrilled,
I would finally be the one,
At one time for this I would've killed,
But why do you want me now?
Now that the show is over,
Now that the cold has set in.
Now that you say we'll be forever,
Somehow I don't want this win.
I grew up a little more,
Every time you ignored me,
Now, I'm going to close the door,
On you, and this, and the girl I used to be.
Can't you see it's too late now?
It's the bottom of the ninth,
And you've made a foul.
This game is over.

Beautifully written, this poem flows exceptionally well. Your message is quite wonderful.
Can you please read some of my work, rate, and tell me what you think (especially my poem "Secrets")?
