Every happy ending, starts with a tragic beginning. ~me,myself!
War does not decide who is right, only who is left . ~unknown
Be the change that you want to see in the world. ~m. Ghandi

The day I died
you held me tight,
shielding me away from the night.
Your arms were around me,
even if they didn't have to be.
And I was happy,
even if it was just a little bit sappy.

The day I died
you looked into my eyes,
and swore they glistened like the night sky.
Then I blushed and looked away,
when you said you'd be with me each and every day.
But I knew you were right,
because I could feel it to, our hearts bound together so tight.

For The Day I Died

I found my love,

and Rose to heaven, up above.

You know when people say, I would die happy if I died now? well that line was my inspiration, it really made my mind reel.

In this poem, you really hit a cord in my heart. Mixing death with love, like black and white, made me look at this peice with a new light. I love how you incorperated "glistened like the nightsky." that was really deep.

I thought in this poem, you were able to really find the essence of being so happy you could die in that moment with a smile on your face. And I thought that the rhyming was really great;)
