There once was a man from the east coast,

Who had made quite a terrible host,

They said he was mean,

And awfully unclean,

And for that he will certainly roast

This was my first limerick. It struck me as I was looking at a disagreeable writing prompt at school

Hahaha, that is a very good first limerick. It had a great sense of humor and flowed well. :)

It bothers me that there isn't a period on the end, after "roast". Please put one for those of us who are grammar ocd, haha. I would be curious to see this man in another setting---like a short or long story. You could even make a series of poems about his humorous and horrible hosting habits. ;)

Limericks are irresistible in their catchiness, and this was no exception. I applaud you for writing it.

However, I'm disappointed that you didn't work 'toast' into it.
