Understand the agonies

When the fire rages

Lavious diamonds sparkle amongst the crowd,

as they cough up their golden blood loud.

Their oblivious eyes went for some red wine.

Climbing down the beanstalks vines,

Lower and lower they laugh

Not seeing the ruler swinging his sharp staph

One by one each was gone,

Severed by their con.

Heads roll on the ground

Then, soon their bank accounts drown

In the ever sinking ship.

Yet, the gambler throws in another chip.

The author's comments:

This piece is to emphasize the selfishness gamblers have on themselves. They do not think of what may hurt them in the end. It could be their family, or their own sanity. Maybe even their own life. Each time a gambler rolls their own dice it is like signing with the Devil hoping for luck that might not be there.
