Simulating hate and fear
Now I don’t need you
Disintegrated
Almost every drop of
Love I feel for you
And I don’t hate it
This fire burning inside me
Obliterated
I am no longer
This wildfire burning the night
Has consumed my life
Unmitigated
But I still want you with me
Forgiveness given

I had a best friend once, and he was the best of friends. Unfortunately, one day he tore my heart to shreds and burned the pieces, and it scared me to death. Eventually, I realized that I can't hate him for being who he is and doing what I knew he would inevitably do. So why not forgive him?
