Reminiscing all
evening, I realize I
cannot remember

The voice forgotten,
diction from me gone, 'tis Death
all over again

my shattered heart: O
(into hundred million bits)
Why does it still beat?

The author's comments:

" I realized just now that I cannot remember her voice as clearly as I should and isn't that the greatest sadness ever. When it has been so long that she hasn't spoken to me. Isn't it in our memory that they live on? It hurts so much that the memory is not as vivid as I would like. So much.
