I'm really glad you liked this poem, Liv :) Knowing that brings me some joy :) And yes...it's really healthy, I think, to just open up and "let it go" sometimes, so even though the song gets annoying sometimes...and is overplayed...it has a good message :) Let the world see you for who you are, and not for "the perfect girl you always have to be." ;)

This is a really thoughtprovoking write. It makes me wonder how many times I've hidden the 'worst' parts of me, and then I realize that I do it everyday. It inspires me to open up just a little bit and let go... let it go... let it go... lol not that again. Anyway, I really liked it, and hope you'll continue to write some more wonderful haiku :)
I wrote this poem about something that has been on my mind a lot lately. Why do people feel like they have to hide the ugly things in their lives and put on a "perfect" facade? Why do we feel like we must tell pleasing lies to cover up the not-so-pleasing truth?
