on staying strong 7:29 am
when i was younger i was told
by a teacher that
sometimes
you don’t know where your
writing is going until
it gets there.
and i didn’t understand what
that meant
because aren’t we supposed to
always have a plan?
but as i grew up
i began to think
that maybe what i was
missing
was the very point i
was always searching
so desperately for.
that maybe
even when it seems hopeless
you don’t know
where your life is going
until it gets there.
