Pure Stargazer
Grown into the world as clean as the driven snow
Your silk soft petals untainted by the blood of the broken
Pure Stargazer
I envy your ignorance
Unknowing of the worlds torturous ways must be bliss
You sit and soak in the crisp summer sun
Pure Stargazer

I saw a just sprouted stargazer lily outside my window and it inspired me.

As I understand it haiku format is: 5 syllables 7syllables 5 syllables This poem, while very good, didn;t match that format at all. However, it is a beaufitul piece of work.
