A Midnight Dance
A dance is for two,
but with you, my dear, our hearts
always beat as one.
Love at it's finest;
The stars, envious of how
brightly your face shines.
My hand, safe in yours.
Warmth transferred from fingertips
to my body's nerves.
Sparks like fireworks,
with more power than a charged
battery outlet.
Every eye glimmers,
but yours are a thousand seas
with smooth, crystal waves.
Your lips, perfectly
curled into a crooked
smile that stops my heart.
We don't need music.
The moon is our soft rhythm;
it's beats are gentle.
A dance is for two,
but with you, my dear, our hearts
always beat as one.
