People, real haikus
Are supposed to be about
Nature, time, seasons.

The author's comments:
It's not to criticize people. I'm stating a fact- technically, haikus are supposed to be a nature. Your non-nature haikus are very beautiful, they're just technically not haikus. They're poems with certain syllables.

Yeah, I know, but I thought it would be fun to write a haiku about the Proper Rules of Haiku.

Not necessarily - haikus don't have to be about nature. The dictionary says that they are traditionally about nature, but technically, the only requirement for haikus are that the first line has 5 syllables, the second has 7, the third has 5. I've written a lot of haikus, and I think they're fun, like this one: "My old blue jeans are / Faded and grass-stained and frayed / ripping at the knees." I just wrote that while sitting here, so it's not great, but just saying, haikus can be about anything!
